Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Specialist II is responsible and accountable for ensuring projects and tracked and followed through from Purchase Order issue to vendor management with a high degree of professionalism, organization, time management and confidentiality. This position will help contribute to the on-going success within the department and organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

- Work cooperatively with all team members and external stakeholders involved in the completion of assigned duties;
- Monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals;
- Coordinates with procurement, inventory control and other functions to optimize the supply chain;
- Creates purchase orders, obtains approvals and places orders; • Monitors and enforces all policies and procedures related to Procurement;
- Reviews any online approvals of purchase orders following procurement policy;
- Sources new suppliers and negotiates pricing including delivery;
- May assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements;• Assists departments and operational sites with sourcing vendors and negotiating pricing;
- Promptly responds to any conflict with vendors;• Sets up contracts and yearly pricing with suppliers and vendors;
- Researches and sets up National Accounts;
- Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.
Requirement Skills and Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of supply chain experience;
- Previous experience with supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP/MRP systems, inventory management software, and demand planning tools considered an asset;
- Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management or relevant field;
- Proficient with Microsoft programs including Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and ensure deadlines are met;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to make independent sound decisions in line with company's procurement policies;
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company.
