Title : Senior Project Manager-Philanthropy

In this role, you will :

Responsibility 1 - Lead Philanthropy Projects

  • Lead and manage multiple cross-channel Philanthropy projects, collaborating with Channel Directors and Project Owners.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans - define project scope, deliverables, resource allocation and timelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, providing visibility into project status, metrics, and risks.
  • Utilize and drive adoption of Agile practices across Philanthropy. Improve PM team practices and materials and train project owners on how to engage with our service teams and agile methodologies.
  • Maintain and iterate on our library of PM documentation, updates and training material on our team Sharepoint.

Responsibility 2 - Manage Creative Team Requests

  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, Creative Services, receive and document incoming creative team requests and participate in resourcing and scheduling projects.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the intake pipeline and processes for creative requests.
  • Maintain and enhance the creative request database.

Responsibility 3 - Lead Disaster Appeal Response

  • Manage the appeal launch process during disaster responses, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Represent Philanthropy on National Disaster Coordination Team calls and lead debriefs post-disaster.
  • Communicate to the CDO Philanthropy the status of the appeal launches at agreed upon intervals throughout the appeal launch process.
  • Due to the nature of the work, the incumbent will be responsible for on call after hours appeal work at least one weekend per month - this would require monitoring for and activating an appeal if one is launched.

What we are looking for :

  • College or bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • A combination of education and/or equivalent experience may be deemed relevant.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, leading complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relational fundraising practices.
  • Fluency in English is required, working proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, SharePoint).
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP are assets.
  • Client-focused, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure with a sense of humour.

  • After-hours work will be required during disaster appeals.
