Colbourne Chrysler is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Service Manager. Job Description:

  • Reporting to the General Manager of Colbourne Auto, the Service Manager will:
  • Guide and direct the activities of servicing/repair staff to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
  • Oversee the recruiting, orienting, and training of automotive service technicians to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
  • Oversight responsibility for department financials, customer service and employee satisfaction
  • Effective process and workflow management tracking as per manufacturer policy and procedure
  • Effectively interact with clients to identify their requirements and facilitate processes to meet customers' needs
  • Assist Service Advisors at the service counter during busy times as required
  • Provide accurate information for the warranty claim process
  • Review time and attendance process to reduce idle time and ensure data accuracy
  • Communicate with all teams in a timely manner and assist on any sales, service and parts needs
  • Conduct team meetings on a regular basis
  • Oversee the Customer Satisfaction Index process and respond to customer concerns as required
  • Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations and oversee the safety committee
  • Build and maintain positive work relationships with customers, staff and key stakeholders/partners
  • Present reports to the General Manager and Fixed Operations Manager as required

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, automotive service management, or a related discipline
  • Supervisory responsibility experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Computer skills
  • Conflict resolution experience and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Completion of Chrysler service manager training certification
  • Safety certification or willingness to complete
