Job Description:

Manage Third Party Business Arrangements through all stages of the TPML, in alignment with relevant frameworks, policies and standards. Vendor Managers are expected to understand and maintain knowledge of Business Arrangement terms (including key Third Party and business segment or corporate function (TD) deliverables). Vendor Managers are also responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on performance of Business Arrangements and identifying and escalating issues where identified in order to mitigate risk. On more strategic, critical and/or complex relationships across multiple business segments or corporate functions, role may also act as the Lead Vendor Manager supporting the Accountable Executive that owns TD's relationship with the Third Party.

Demonstrate proficiency in general accountabilities of Vendor Management

  • Ensure strong understanding of the Bank's vendor management tools including SAP Ariba and Coupa Risk

  • Build/foster solid relationships and organizational alignment with our business, Strategic Sourcing, legal and contract partners, attending/facilitating meetings and participating in working sessions

  • Support P&T business units in achieving their targets by contributing to their success and pro-actively recognizing opportunities for the business to meet these goals

  • Develop proposals/recommendations related to vendor services and practices in connection with the vendor(s)

  • Deals with a range of complex issues and policies in the management of the vendor

Manage multiple vendor engagements in support of TD Wealth's strategic goals and objectives

  • Ensure strong understanding of contractual terms, and their implications by working closely with business partners to ensure their requirements are met

  • Facilitate phases of the Third Party Risk Management Lifecycle, and ensure compliance with TPRM Policy, Standard and Framework

  • Accountable and responsible for timely completion of Third Party Inherent Risk Assessments and Control Assessments for new/changing third party relationships, including review/approval from key stakeholders

  • Accountable for the quality of advice and support provided to the business and achievement of their overall objectives

  • Lead the assessment/development of SLA's, standards, policies, procedures and compliance monitoring plans that maximize customer satisfaction, decrease risk and/or mitigate to the maximum of availability, efficiency and effectiveness

  • Manage timely renewal of all contracts; Participate in contract renewal and negotiation process, working with internal partners (Legal, Sourcing) as well as business partners to ensure contracts and agreements maximize our values, meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, mitigate risks and meet the TD policies and standards

Manage vendor relationships, and compliance of vendor commitments from active arrangements

  • Accountable and responsible for monitoring vendor performance and risk, via reporting/dashboards/governance routine

  • Accountable and responsible for risk and issue management, escalating and tracking 3PCRM cyber findings and vendor issues per TPRM Issue management requirements, partnering with the business to drive remediation plans on non-performing metrics or issues

Support audit as required

  • Collect/Review/Assess audit documentations and determine next steps for remediation of gaps

  • Ensure organized storage of evidence of all activities for audit readiness

  • Ensure timely response to and satisfactory results for Internal and External audit requests

Job requirements

  • Highly professional with established relationship building and previous Vendor Management experience and/or working with third parties

  • Ability to manage multiple Vendor relationships simultaneously for same or different business partners

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Excellent documentation skills; understands the importance of organized evidence storage to ensure audit readiness

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners at all levels

  • Strong project management, organization and time management skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight timelines

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills

  • Drive and determined attitude

  • Good working knowledge of sourcing process, tools and methodology

  • General knowledge of the TD organizational structure including main business groups and their functions

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
