Bay Side Home is a licensed long term care facility, located at 96 Bayside Drive in Barrington, which is home to Sixty-Two Residents.
We have openings for Termporary Full Time and Temporary Part Time Continuing Care
Assistant positions located at Bay Side Home in Barrington, Nova Scotia.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Continuing Care Assistant is responsible for providing residents with total personal care. You work collaboratively with residents, their families and the Bay Side Home team to provide
"Care at its Best".
In this role, you will:
- Provide complete personal care to the residents including physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
- Communicates closely with the LPN/RN.
- Attend and participate in resident footprint (care plan) meetings.
- Document and Report any changes observed in resident's condition to the neighborhood nurse.
- Follow the Home's safe lift and transfer protocols, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 required or equivalent.
- Provincial Continuing Care Assistant certificate or working towards certification. (RN, LPN & CCA students)
- Experience providing resident-centered care and willingness to embrace a person driven culture.
- Experience in Long Term Care setting is considered an asset.
