Bay Side Home is a licensed long term care facility, located at 96 Bayside Drive in Barrington, which is home to Sixty-Two Residents.

We have Full Time Housekeeping and Casual Positions located at Bay Side Home in Barrington, Nova Scotia.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Facility Services, the Housekeeper is responsible for providing residents and staff with clean, comfortable surroundings on a daily basis in accordance with all standards for Long Term Care. You work collaboratively with residents, their families and the Bay Side Home team to provide "Care at its Best".

In this role, you will:

• Complete housekeeping and laundry duties as described within the position outline.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment within the home.
• Understand and demonstrate safe practices.
• Work closely with assigned household/neighborhood team during meal times assisting with serving, dining and clean up.
• Maintain an awareness of the specific needs of each resident.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 required or equivalent.
• Food Handlers.
• Experience as a housekeeper in a commercial setting is considered an asset.
• Experience in Long Term Care setting is considered an asset.
