Moosehead Breweries, the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians and headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a keen interest in excelling in a manufacturing environment. This role involves analyzing, monitoring, and solving problems related to quality assurance systems and procedures, with minimal supervision.
- Perform analytical, sensory, and microbiological analysis of ingredients, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Validate and audit packaging quality across keg, can, and bottle lines.
- Record, analyze, and report test results using Quality Laboratory Information Systems.
- Develop and maintain Quality documentation and KPI reports.
- Monitor and ensure quality consistency in packaging processes and finished products.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure calibration and supplies are up to date.
- Conduct scientific investigations and routine audits to uphold quality standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years' experience in a quality role within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or laboratory settings.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with GMP and HACCP.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific and statistical evaluations.
- Self-motivated with a capacity to perform detailed tasks accurately under minimal supervision.
- Must be eligible to work in 8 hours rotating shifts and meet legal drinking age requirements.
