Summary of Accountabilities:
Our team is growing, and we are looking to welcome new Human Resources professionals to our dynamic and busy team. We are excited to have six new roles to compliment our existing Human Resources portfolio. We are looking for collaborative and eager professionals to help us build our District's workforce.
The following Human Resources Officer Positions are available:
Two (2) Recruitment & Staffing Specialists- supporting full cycle recruitment and staffing
Two (2) Time & Labour Specialist- responsibilities include monitoring employee time and special projects in time and attendance
One (1) Data & Systems Analyst- responsibilities in managing data and systems to support strategic initiatives and daily task of each stream within the department
One (1) HR Advisor/Generalist- supporting the full life cycle of the employee from time of hire
The successful candidates will be responsible to assist our Human Resources Department to develop, implement and manage HR tasks and programs for all staff within our district. Although each Human Resources Officer will manage specialized work within their portfolio, we are looking for professionals to support our team in the following ways:
Maintaining and enhancing the Anglophone East School District's Human Resources function.
Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources, the HR Officer is responsible for: Interpreting / administering collective agreements for all employee groups. We currently work with 5 unique union groups and one management non-bargaining group.
You will work closely with team members across the whole department to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment, working together to find efficiencies in our current and future HR processes.
You will be responsible for interpreting / administering policies, guidelines, laws, regulations, and district goals and objectives as they apply to Human Resources.
Assisting in the orientation and onboarding of new employees and assisting in the retention and engagement of all employees. You will also play a role in offboarding of any employees leaving the district.
Assist in the development and implementation of new HR processes, policies and procedures
Along with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A university degree in business administration, public administration or related field, with a major in human resources, and preferably three years' experience in human resources.
The incumbent must have excellent interpretation, analytical, and inter-personal / communication skills, and be able to work independently, accurately, and in a confidential manner.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of HR best practices
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Proficiency in HR software an asset. Anglophone East School District currently uses AESOP, Fusion and VidCruiter to support all portfolios within our department
