Demands, duties, qualifications
Qualifications: Master of Social Work preferred, Bachelor of Social Work required, or Masters in Clinical Psychology. Eligibility for registration with a professional regulatory body. 2 years current experience (within the last 5 years) in an addictions and/or mental health setting. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of professional addictions and concurrent disorder, Best Practice Standards as it relates to assessment, treatment, planning, counselling, evaluation, community development, and adult education theories. Demonstrated ability and skill in assessment, interviewing and crisis intervention techniques, social work programming, and delivery methods. Demonstrated oral and written communications, team-building, facilitation and interpersonal skills are essential. Demonstrated independence, initiative, and ability to work with others. Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion initiatives preferred. Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)

The use of a private vehicle and a valid driver's license are a condition of employment.

A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
