We are currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Senior Specialist to join our team serving clients in REMOTE, Victoria, British Columbia (CA-BC) or REMOTE, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (CA). Victoria based applicants are preferred, followed by Vancouver based applicants.

As a consultant, you will operate as a lead in your role and be able to craft solutions directly with client engagement.

Once You Are Here, You Will:

• Lead BI software development, deployment, and maintenance
• Develop, construct, test and maintain BI Dashboards and reports
• Work with data engineers and customers to ensure development work aligns with business requirements
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Develop data models
• Use SQL and BI tools for dashboard development
• Identify ways to improve dashboard and report user experience and response times
• Conduct research for industry and business best practices related to reporting and analytics
• Use large data sets to address business needs
• Deliver updates to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Must have experience with IBM COGNOS
• Must have experience with Microsoft PowerBI
• Must have senior experience with data ETL development
• Experience with building data models in various industries,
• Candidates must have direct work experience developing and deploying dashboards with complex data models (15+ table joins)
• Strong understanding of SQL (5-10 years)
• Need to have a good understanding of SQL to optimize data models, dashboard response times and work with data engineers to build the presentation layer
• Experience gathering and tracking requirements
• Must reside in Canada, particularly Victoria, BC (preferred) or Vancouver, BC

• Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight
• Willing to raise issues to NTT DATA or client management as required, clearly defining the issue and potential solutions

• Capable of adapting written processes when required and capturing improvements to the process for later review
• Engage with Customers in a meaningful dialog to understand their requirements while explaining solution capabilities
