As a Security Operations Centre Administrator, the successful candidate will abide by the confidentiality of both NLHS and Paladin Security Group. As a self-starter, the Administrator should be able to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals. There is an emphasis on having strong customer relations, interpersonal communication, both verbal and written communication skills and to be flexible in dealing with changing priorities and short deadlines. As a creative, well-organized, resourceful and people-oriented service provider, the admin is responsible for a series of tasks including but not limited to:
- Maintaining, auditing and producing reports on the current state of the, C*Cure 9000, Axiom V, P2000 and other access control databases.
- Contribute to the creation and continual improvement of SOC Operation and ID access and Video Surveillance System best practices, and processes.
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mails) regarding the photo ID/access control program and escalate as necessary
- Maintain, audit, and produce reports on current state of the ID and Card Access systems and access control database
- Complete detailed video review reports for approved video reviews
- Support operational response and investigative activities.
- Actioning approved application forms for initial issue of photo identification cards to new employee(s), vendors, and other entities.
- Completing all approved requests for re-issue of ID Access Cards, lost, stolen, misplaced and the prompt deactivation of identification cards including urgent requests.
- Acting on all approved requests for removal and/or complete amendments to access level permissions on specific database.
- Cataloguing the inventory of new access cards available for issue or replacement as required.
- Alarm monitoring and notification.
- SOC inventory management
- Working closely with NLHS staff maintaining a high level of ethics, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Ensuring proper documentation is completed and provincial processes/guidelines are adhered to
- Other duties as required
- Entry level; minimum 0-1 year experience
- Exceptional IT base skills (Hardware, Software, Sever settings, One Drive, MS office 360, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Post-secondary diploma/certificate in a Computer Science discipline, or equivalent experience. Business or Office Administration diploma/certificate would be an asset
- Healthcare Security experience and working knowledge of CPTED is considered an asset
- Communication: displays confidence and articulates a clear message when interacting with diverse audiences utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Complex problem-solving skills

Rate of Pay: $19.00/hr
There will be two openings for the position of SOC Administrator, as follows:
- Work schedule is 7 hours per day, with 1-hour unpaid dinner break for a total of 35 hours per week
