Shoreland Transport Ltd., a division of Cookeis currently seeking a Transportation Administrator Assistant for a 6-month contract in our St. George, NB office.

Position Summary:

The Transportation Administrator Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to the operations team.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the office, including maintaining office supplies, managing office equipment, and ensuring the office environment is organized.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
  • Input, update, and maintain accurate records in databases and filing systems. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Work closely with operations and provide administrative support to team members, ensuring projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the organization complies with relevant regulations and organizational policies by keeping updated on changes in administrative procedures.
  • Provides other administrative support as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Truckmate is a plus.
