Job Summary
NL Health Services Urban Zone is inviting applications for an Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician to join the Child Health Program, Division of Pediatrics, Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre in St. John's, NL.
The successful candidate will provide specialized adolescent medicine health care for adolescents in the Child Health Program in both the outpatient and inpatient care settings. The incumbent will assume an equitable share of the inpatient and outpatient demands of the Division. On call for inpatients under the Adolescent Medicine Service during evening hours and weekends, to be shared with other Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician. On call for Adolescent Medicine consultation for patients with eating disorders Monday to Friday 0800 hours to 1600 hours to be shared with other Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent would be responsible for the provision of clinical care within the scope of Adolescent Medicine and teaching of medical learners.
Required Qualifications
- Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Adolescent Medicine
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL.
- Satisfy credentialing requirements of Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Remuneration:
Salary and benefits for this position are to be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador. Starting salary will be based on years of clinical experience.
