Meridia is excited to be partnered with Greystone to recruit a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering team in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Role Description

The Senior Engineering Manager will play a critical role in managing Greystone's Engineering department, which includes Mechanical Design, Software Design, Hardware Design, and Testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company's technical strategy, overseeing the Product Life Cycle, and managing product development processes. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including leadership, customers, product management, and manufacturing to ensure smooth execution of both short and long-term product strategies. Additionally, the role will require managing the professional development of the engineering team, instilling a culture of continuous improvement, and fostering innovation within the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all Engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Software, Hardware, and Testing.
  • Managing product lifecycle activities related to new product development, product renovations, and bug fix solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as leadership, product management, manufacturing, and customers to shape product direction and strategy.
  • Leading the development and implementation of engineering processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Managing R&D activities and maintaining a Technology Roadmap in cooperation with Product Management.
  • Advising leadership on long-term technical strategies and investments.
  • Coaching and mentoring engineering teams, promoting professional development and personal growth.
  • Developing, articulating, and continuously evolving the company's technical direction, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Analyzing and managing budgets and resources for near and long-term projects.
  • Facilitating design reviews and ensuring all technical and schedule requirements are met.
  • Continuously assessing and improving the skills and capacity of the engineering team.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in managing interdisciplinary teams in R&D and product development.
  • Experience with HVAC and/or Electronics is a strong asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and fostering innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, Manufacturing, and Product Management.
  • Experience in budget preparation and project management.
