(Three Year Contractual Position)
DUTIES
Memorial University is looking for a creative, and innovative manager to facilitate a strategic donor relations program that will encourage lifelong philanthropic relationships with the university.
Reporting to the Associate Director (Development), the Manager, Stewardship Programs will work with colleagues within Memorial's Office of Development and Alumni Engagement, and throughout the university's administrative and academic units, to support donor stewardship and donor relations. As the leader of a team of stewardship professionals, the Manager will be responsible for supporting the university's Annual Giving, Planned Giving and Major Gift strategies; planning, executing and maintaining excellent donor stewardship practices; managing stewardship and recognition programs for our highest-level donors; providing excellent relationship management and prompt follow up with individual donors, corporations and foundations. The successful candidate will manage the preparation of acknowledgment letters, endowment reports, donor impact reports and other donor-centered materials; oversee the organization of strategic donor interaction and recognition events; and perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (5-7 years) in successful donor relations, university advancement, stewardship and recognition programs; completion of a four-year degree, ideally in communications, business or social sciences is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful relationship management, with a process-driven approach to managing multiple tasks and projects under tight timelines. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, superior writing ability, exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team are required. Project management certification and/or previous experience with RE NXT or other Client Relationship Management systems will be considered asset(s).
SALARY $66,092 - $90,126 per annum (Management and Professional)
