Definition of work:
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Rehabilitative Services (with clinical supervision and professional practice oversight provided by the Physiotherapy Clinical Lead) the Clinical Physiotherapist I will be working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.

This position provides physiotherapy services at James Paton Memorial Health Centre with dedicated to support to Gander Long-Term Care. This position may also be required to support the delivery of physiotherapy services to designated regional sites and long-term care facilities within Central Zone. Regional travel will be required.

Services in Long-Term care require a highly independent clinician with the primary purpose of providing both clinical duties and on-site mentorship for the rehab clinical staff both in LTC, Rehab, and various Health Centers within the zone. Clinical work involves screening referrals for priority ranking and physiotherapy service delivery in long term care (as well as other identified areas), the development of client centered goals/intervention plans, and completion of all required documentation. The successful candidate will provide long term care oversight and may provide inpatient/ day rehab programing within long-term care and other identified facilities.

This position also provides clinical physiotherapy services at James Paton Memorial Health Centre. Services in acute care require a clinician responsible for professional physiotherapy work in the promotion of health, prevention, and treatment of physically disabled, acute, and chronically ill patients. This position includes on-call and weekend work. Shift work may also be required.

The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care; demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and demonstrate a commitment to safety partnering with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required qualifications:
• Graduated from a School of Physiotherapy approved by Central Zone.
• Current registration or be eligible for registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists.
• Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
• A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in Physiotherapy.
