Steele Recreation is seeking a Service Advisor to join growing team!
As a Service Advisor with Steele Recreation, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking maintenance or repairs. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, assessing issues, providing cost estimates, and coordinating service appointments. If you have strong communication skills, automotive or powersports knowledge, and a passion for ensuring customer satisfaction, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to excel in the powersports service industry.
Hourly Wage Range: $19.15 – $22.45 Plus Performance Bonus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Determine service issues by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms and clarifying descriptions of problems
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
- Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required
- Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates and answering questions and concerns
- Maintain service records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
- Enhance the store's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills: a good listener who can cultivate relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-driven environment
- Good organization and learning skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driver's abstract
