Pay Details:

$125,500 - $154,000 CADThis role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range that is reassessed annually. You are encouraged to have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide more specific pay details for this role.

Job Description:

Department Overview

Applied Machine Learning Science is a specialized field within advanced analytics that brings deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) to drive innovation and improvements in business practices. This area is focused on developing and applying a broad set of evolving advanced AI/ML techniques to solve business problems. It includes gathering, analyzing and modeling a wide range of data, applying mathematical models/techniques and tools, and utilizing software engineering best practices to develop and implement solutions.

Job Description

  • Develop complex and advanced machine learning models that learn from and scale to petabytes of data.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement strategy, optimizing engagement strategies across the product and service portfolio.
  • Design and deliver enterprise analytic solutions for customers.
  • Develop powerful business insights from social, marketing and industrial data using advanced machine learning techniques.
  • Provide insight into leading analytic practices, designs and leads iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become core deliverables.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development and delivery of presentations as well as communications to management or broader audience.
  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Keep current on emerging trends and developments, and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally


Job Requirement

  • Undergraduate degree in STEM is required (computer science, engineering, math or physics etc.) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience
  • Solid knowledge of applied Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models
  • Knowledge and experience with Optimization and Operations Research methodologies as applied in a commercial Marketing context
  • Strong coding proficiency: python and/or Java and/or Scala
  • Cloud experience with Azure or AWS and cloud AI/ML services such as Databricks, Kubernetes, docker and container orchestration, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
