Job Description:

Department Overview

HR Service Delivery provides expertise and support to the HR Community while ensuring a positive employee experience. This group is committed to enable and operationalize HR Service strategies to enhance the employee experience; develop global implementation strategies and execute with excellence. The HR Service Delivery team encompasses the areas of TDI HR Shared Services, the Canadian HR Contact Centre, Payroll, Employee Programs, Disengagements, Executive Services, Benefits & Leave Administration and HR Operations and Processing. The HR Service Delivery team is committed to delivering value-added advice and support to the employee, People Manager and HR Community through centralized services. The HR Service Delivery teams in London, Toronto, Markham, and Montreal fully support each other in providing a high-quality experience for TD employees, Retirees, People Managers and HR Advice & Business Partners in responding to inquiries and handling transactions.

This TDI-GI team is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits (new enrollments, leaves, benefits extensions, retirees, etc.) and any changes impacting payroll. They also participate in the year-processes for taxable benefits.

All inquiries are handled appropriately through a generic inbox and the Case management tool. The team investigates and resolves any escalated issues; along with responding to all inquiries received through the HR Contact Centre and the HR community. The Benefits and Pension team works closely with our benefits vendor (Manulife) and DB Pension administrator (AON) to ensure employees' inquiries regarding process closures, withdrawals, RSP (Retirement Savings Plan), and beneficiary forms are actioned in a timely manner.

  • Work with our external vendor to ensure processes and practice align with TD policy while keeping the employee experience at the forefront.

  • Handle escalated issues and provides guidance on escalations, coordinating between Group Manager – TDI Payroll group, Manulife, Sunlife, Lifeworks, AON, VIP support team, HR business units and engaging HR support groups for problem resolution, as needed.

  • Review and manually process Benefits and Pension enrollment and enquires, while partnering with the appropriate parties to implement in a satisfactory manner for all parties involved, as well as to minimize and mitigate the risk to the Bank.

  • Inbox management – manage a very high volume of inquiries/requests from all LOB's through our central inbox while maintaining SLA.

  • Deliver a legendary employee experience by communicating with employees from end to end while liaising with HR support groups and external partners to provide timely and accurate resolution of inquiries/requests.

  • Perform complex case file reviews on behalf of HR Advice and Employee Relations.

  • Ensure prompt and thorough resolution of complex issues by engaging partners and stakeholders as required, escalating as necessary, and ensuring closure of issues or escalations in a timely manner.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and efficiency and participate in the implementation and evaluation of process improvements.

  • Strong Analytical problem solving and investigative skills.

  • Organized, detail oriented and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to ensure that service level commitments are met, and accuracy is maintained.

  • Willingness to learn and flexibility to grow in a changing environment.

  • Proven ability to provide excellent, prompt, and effective support to HR partners, people managers and employees.

  • Demonstrated ability to be solution oriented and able to work successfully through changing priorities.

  • Well-developed communication and relationship building skills.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and function well within a team.

  • Familiarity with the HR systems VIP and Workday would be an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

  • Research and analytical ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions.

  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organization and time management skill; effective prioritization ability.

  • Familiarity with HR manual, policy and process would be an asset.

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 1-2 years relevant experience
