Job Description:

Department Overview

TD Securities' (TDS) Governance & Control (G&C) team partners with the TDS businesses globally to manage the population of issues for TDS, including self-identified issues, Operational Risk Events (OREs) and Audit findings.
The team is responsible for ensuring timely and consistent implementation – across all TDS businesses – of reporting and issue management. The TDS G&C team acts as the primary contact for the TDS businesses, working closely with subject matter experts from each TDS business line.

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, TDS G&C, the primary role of the Senior Analyst, TDS G&C, support all TDS businesses in Reporting and Issue Management.

As part of the key accountabilities of the role, the Senior Analyst will:

  • Execute TDS Issues Management reporting in collaboration with Senior Manager and AVP on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Manage Operational Risk Events in coordination with Business Owners to ensure issue is comprehensively documented and address in a timely manner inquiries from Operational Risk Management (ORM) throughout the process.

  • Manage inventories of Audits, Issues, Overdue Issues and Self-ID Issues to ensure they are current and reconcile with reporting out of the book of record.

  • Manage monthly reporting process in coordination with Senior Manager to ensure data set is validated and corresponding reports are created to reflect as such

  • Assist with back end report building and logic in coordination with Reporting team to reflect current business practices and data elements are captured in monthly reporting.

  • Proactively manage exceptions and issues by reaching out to the business owners to get clarification

  • Contribute to and promote positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, issues/points of interest, learnings, and knowledge with the team.

Job Requirements

  • University or Post-Graduate degree; professional accounting/auditing/risk management designation would be considered an asset.

  • 2 years of relevant experience (Risk, Audit, Compliance preferred).

  • Prior experience using Archer or other GRC tools

  • Experience using Alteryx, Excel and PowerPoint for reporting

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements and ability to work collaboratively across functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as confident presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques is an asset.
