Purpose

The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights will be supporting the Senior Manager, Analytics with key strategic initiatives and reporting. This role requires strong understanding of the online brokerage business and will utilize advanced data mining skills to conduct deep dive analysis on customer behaviour and performance trending to provide the business with actionable insights. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and executing end to end delivery of projects and various reporting requests to support all business partners including Marketing, Product Strategy, Sales & Trading & Services.

Accountabilities

  • Supporting the Sr. Manager on analytics projects for key strategic initiatives, product strategies and marketing & campaign planning.
  • Design, develop and implement new and innovative Power BI reporting solutions with enriched data and insights to improve business strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and provide data-driven solutions for various business case and analytic need.
  • Support Marketing with campaign strategy and promote test & learn culture including planning, targeting, execution and campaign measurement.
  • Supports Product Strategy and provide various analysis related to pricing, product, client segmentation, trading platform to support product development, business cases, revenue opportunities and success measurement.
  • Improve reporting functions and automation to support Trading and Services & Sales teams on performance measurement.
  • Champion a client focused culture throughout their team and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.


Education / Experience

  • Experience working in the wealth management or financial services sector would be an asset
  • University Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills to analyze issues and problems and provide meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience with programming language
  • Expert knowledge in data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, results-oriented and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey analysis in a clear and concise manner.
  • Hands-on experience using the features and functionalities in Salesforce is an asset.
  • Experience with Alteryx or similar data management application is preferred.
