Power System Operator Apprentice
Competition #: NLH-RE-24-146
Status: Term
Location: Bay d'Espoir or Bishop's Falls

This two-year apprenticeship program will prepare for Journeyperson Certification as a Power System Operator (PSO). Upon completion, you will be qualified as a Hydro Plant Operator and could work in any of our Hydro Generating Plants in various locations throughout the province, which may include Bay d'Espoir and Bishop's Falls.

Requirements:
You have graduated high school and have successfully completed a three-year Electrical or Electronics Technology Program from a recognized post-secondary institute or you have a Journeyperson Certificate as an Industrial or Construction Electrician. You must possess a valid driver's license and some travel is required. Other combinations of related education and/or experience may be considered.

You have thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and possess and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license. You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

You are responsive to feedback, welcome diversity and enjoy working with a dynamic team. Additionally, you are able to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.
