McInnes Cooper is seeking a Sharepoint Developer with a strong emphasis on technical innovation, adaptability, and initiative to join our Technology and Information Services team in a full-time permanent position. In this role, you will be pivotal in transforming business needs into precise technical specifications, crafting scalable data frameworks, and harnessing the Microsoft Power Platform to engineer streamlined workflows and applications. Your proficiency will be instrumental in advancing our SharePoint endeavours, ensuring peak performance and user satisfaction. This role may be located within any of our office locations (Halifax, Sydney, St. John's, Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John and Charlottetown).
As a Sharepoint Developer, you will:
Solutions Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint applications using Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Bi;
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and architecture;
- Create scalable and efficient data structures to support enterprise-level solutions;
- Develop custom workflows and processes to automate business operations;
- Move expeditiously from analysis of a new business process, through identifying the need to prototype a possible solution;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SharePoint solutions with other enterprise systems;
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for SharePoint development;
- Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and performance of applications; and,
- Document all phases of the development process, including design, deployment, and maintenance.
Solutions Administration:
- Work within global development standards, cyber policies, data privacy practices, governance frameworks and processes in conjunction with the Systems Administration Team and firm management;
- Design, implement, maintain and support solutions to meet established SLAs;
- Develop solution test plans and procedures for moving solutions into a production state while complying with internal change control policies;
- Become and remain familiar with sources and platforms of integrated enterprise data;
- Assist the Operations Team as required with solution support requests and requested service changes; and,
- Actively support the firm's business plan and strategic goals.
The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a recognized post-secondary technical diploma in a related field;
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as a SharePoint Developer with a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, services and best practices;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate);
- Knowledge of programming languages namely Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript, and/or HTML/CSS;
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail and the ability to take initiative;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
- Ability to manage expectations and handle high-pressure situations with tight deadlines; and,
- Available for occasional planned or unplanned after-hours work.
