The opportunity:
The Efficiency Coordinator, Business Rebates Program role is a full-time EfficiencyOne Services (E1S) position primarily responsible for developing and ongoing delivery of the Business Rebates Program in the Province of New Brunswick. This initiative will be shared between EfficiencyOne Services (E1S) and New Brunswick Power's 'Save Energy NB' offering. The role includes communicating the benefits of participating in the Business Rebates Program to new distributors, customers, and contractors in New Brunswick, onboarding and training new partners, and reporting results to all parties. The successful candidate must travel throughout New Brunswick to lighting and pumping distributor locations and occasionally to Dartmouth, NS, as needed for training and/or in-person meetings. Bilingual speaking is an asset in this role. The role's primary focus will be developing an instant-rebate (at the counter) offering available in multiple lighting and pumping distributors throughout the province to help achieve energy efficiency-related targets. The successful applicant should be a highly motivated self-starter focusing on customer service and quality control.
This is a one-year term position, with the possibility of extension based on achievement of established performance goals.
- Responsible for developing and delivering an instant rebates program to participating New Brunswick lighting and pumping distributors' locations.
- Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with new distributor partner locations in New Brunswick.
- Responsible for developing and delivering training to new distributor staff in person or virtually.
- Maintain reporting templates and qualified product lists and review and process monthly invoices.
- Responsible for performing in-depth and ongoing data quality assurance and reporting energy savings and budget expenditures to all required parties.
- Develop and maintain a series of tracking sheets and data management tools.
- Provide input on program changes, including the adoption of new measures, incentive changes, and process improvements
- Contribute to marketing activities focused on New Brunswick distributor locations & requirements.
- Other duties as needed.
What Will Help You Succeed?
- Bachelor's degree, Diploma in Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Bilingual is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, PowerBI, etc.)
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software (Salesforce) is considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with a range of energy-efficient products, particularly lighting products, would be considered an asset.
- Able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and work to a high standard in an environment with tight timelines/deadlines.
- Significant attention to detail; comfortable doing repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to travel within/to New Brunswick (or Nova Scotia) on short notice.
In the first week, expect to:
- Job shadow the Program Manager and Efficiency Specialists to learn about your responsibilities, program measures, targets, and team/organizational goals.
- Read program materials to get more familiar with tools and processes.
- Read to understand the scope of this initiative, the relationship between all parties, and the inter-provincial reporting requirements and limits.
- Get introduced to our distributor partners and share the good news that the program is expanding to include lighting and pumping distributor locations
In the first month, expect to:
- Establish a performance plan with key deliverables with your manager.
- Take on tasks with support from your teammates.
- Review existing training materials and prepare for onboarding new distributor locations in New Brunswick
- Perform core duties with limited support.
- Shadow staff as they complete monthly data, invoicing, and reporting tasks
- Continue to learn more about tools and processes.
In the first three months, expect to:
- Perform core duties independently.
- Support teammates by working through customer and Delivery Partner questions and concerns.
- Travel to new distributor locations in New Brunswick to introduce yourself to staff, answer questions, and deliver point-of-purchase materials.
