Title : Finance Analyst - EM Desk

Employment Status : Permanent Full-time

Salary Band : $54,180 - $67,725 / year

In this role, you will :

  • Regularly analyze transactions and balances to ensure they are accurate, complete, and reasonable.
  • Identify any errors or omissions and prepare corrected journal entries as required.
  • Calculate various monthly reallocations and prepare the related journal entries.
  • Maintain and develop working relationships with Operational Leaders, supporting monthly reporting and presentations and ensuring accurate reporting needs are met.
  • Prepare monthly accrued payables balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to identifying, developing, and implementing deficiencies in transactional and/or operational processes.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely general ledger closing processes each month.
  • Support monthly forecasting and the annual financial budgeting process.
  • Perform other transactional and account reviews and reporting as requested by management.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Cross-train with other analysts to provide backup.

What we are looking for :

  • Completion of a certificate or degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • General knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, techniques and policies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Time management and organizational skills reflected in the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
