As the Senior Manager & Lead, you will contribute to the overall success and profitable growth of Scotia Insurance across Retail Branch Banking, Small Business Banking, Scotia Mortgage Authority, Home Financing Solutions, Clients Solutions Canada, and Direct Branch Onboarding teams that offer Scotia Insurance products within Western Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

Design, develop and oversee the execution of the strategy and business plan within the assigned region(s)

Lead the Senior Regional insurance Manager (SRIM) Western team and provide input into the establishment of Channel goals by region and district
-
Develop strategies with cross-functional partners concerning feedback on industry trends, marketing strategies, competitive positioning, market growth assumptions, sales forecasting and results analysis

Establish internal and external sales and coaching best practices for SRIM Western team to deliver during coaching, training and touch-bases with respective touch points (Advisors, Branch Managers, Senior Manager Sales) to maximize the quality of creditor conversations

Identify training needs and implement training solutions in conjunction with Scotia Insurance Sales Enablement team

Champion training initiatives and ensuring proper implementation across all channels.

Champion recruiting efforts (internally & externally) for SRIM roles within the Region

Partner with Regional Director, Advice and Service Effectiveness in BC & Yukon and Regional Director, Advice and Service Effectiveness Prairie Region to optimize coaching and sustainment strategies in the retail branch channel

Contribute to the design, development and distribution of sales reporting for Senior Management teams

Monitor, evaluate and report on sales and coaching results and trends

Monitor and evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of SRIM deployment within the Region(s) and working with channel partners to ensure optimal deployment is maintained

Keep Channel leadership informed of progress toward agreed upon growth goals and objectives, including escalating items and issues to appropriate parties

Contribute to the development of required sales reporting and metrics as required

Develop SRIM's to achieve goals and objectives by supporting recruitment strategies, retaining high potential candidates, providing guidance, assessing performance, training and employee development

Train, coach and motivate SRIM team through tools such as workshops, seminars, conferences, interim touch-bases and one-on-one coaching sessions

Provide SRIM team with clear direction, expectations and feedback
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

Post-Secondary education in a related field; PFP, CFP, LLQP, AMP designations are preferred

Expert knowledge of credit processes, and thorough knowledge of Creditor products offered by other financial institutions and niche competitors

Strong understanding of sales management activities and techniques

Expert knowledge of the Retail & Small Business credit products, including the supporting systems, as well as the Bank's related tools and resources

Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential

Thorough experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), Lotus Notes, and retail management platforms (e.g. Financial Pulse, Intralink, etc.
