Accounts Receivable Administrator, Saint John, NB

Full-time, Salaried position

Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire a qualified and organized Accounts Receivable Administrator in Saint John, NB.

The Role:

The Accounts Receivable Administrator is an in-office position that works collaboratively with our Finance and Payroll teams. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for generating invoices, monitoring and managing accounts and billing and all related reporting functions. They are responsible for collecting all outstanding invoices. Additionally, as required, they collaborate with various facets of the business (Payroll) to develop, execute and manage goals in support of overall operational goals for Commissionaires New Brunswick & PEI.

Position Responsibilities:

Finance

• Control and complete all Accounts Receivable transactions in compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

• Complete necessary record keeping in relation to mandatory employer related expenses

• Generate reports related to client accounts

• Reconcile and keep up date customer accounts

• Process client payments against accounts

Payroll

As required:

• Assist the Payroll Administrator in reconciliation of hours worked and verify

accuracy of invoicing of hours

• Support bi-weekly payroll preparation

Other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Head of Finance, Transformation & Analytics.

Qualifications:

· Possess strong administrative and organizational skills

· Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives and process development

· Aptitude for and interest in learning new technology and processes

· Professionalism and discretion handling sensitive information

· Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Strong customer service skills with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with client representatives as well as internal team members

Education and Professional Requirements

· Three (3) plus years of experience in accounts receivable with post-secondary accounting program or equivalent experience

· Highly organized critical thinker who investigates ways to improve processes, manages priorities to meet operational deadlines and ensures a high level of accuracy

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, integrity, and discretion

· Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with other teams within the organization

· Knowledge of accounting related applications and Office 365

· Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Level II (Secret level) security clearance is a requirement

Working Conditions:

· Salaried position

· Work weeks are 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, from 8-9:00 a.m. to 4-5:00 p.m. (exceptions from time to time) unless otherwise stipulated by site specific work assignments

· Normal office working conditions
