Job Description:

Reporting to Product Owner of Merchant Solutions Device Connectivity & Management. The Senior Product Analyst will be responsible for understanding the business strategy, collaborating with POD members within an Agile framework to support product development tactics, contributing to end-to-end deliverables, and ensuring the successful achievement of Business OKRs (Objective and Key Results).

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Analyst role on Merchant Acquiring Strategic and Regulatory initiatives, ensuring alignment to the business goals and customer needs, contributing to the Product Group Roadmap and Target Operating Model.
  • Maintain up to date awareness of compliance, competitive and industry landscape to gain market insights, assess existing gaps and support the development and implementation of solutions which meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct impact assessments with a focus on Acquirer Point of Sale Device Connectivity & Management when changes affecting our products are proposed.
  • Support the Product Owner or Product Manager with analysis and delivery to ensure most valuable and critical changes are developed first. This includes grooming and refining backlogs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to build Point of Sale device connection & management requirements, gather feedback, and conduct thorough testing to ensure product capabilities align with business value and meet various needs, such as customer and colleague experience, vendor integration, and compliance regulations.
  • Support the development, implementation and understanding of training material, procedures and processes.
  • Interact with vendors, internal and external partners for business function management, and develop scopes and timeline.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing diversity and supporting and proudly representing TD in the community.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably 5+ years working experience in the payments industry, with a focus on merchant acquiring, payment processing, terminal managements, transaction gateways, or a similar role within FinTech, banking or e-Commerce.
  • 3+ years of Agile-related delivery experience is considered an asset.
  • Understand Acquirer Compliance and Security standard with delivery experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing protocols (e.g., ISO8583; ISO20022; EMV)
  • Experience of overseeing daily operations of the transaction processing gateway is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a detail-oriented approach to solving complex payment processing or terminal management issues.
  • Proven working independently interpersonal and relationship management skills, detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
  • Strong verbal/written communication with the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and articulate the end-to-end business impact.
  • Experience with presenting and sharing recommendations to management team.
  • Strong team collaboration skills are essential.
