Definition of Work:
This position reports operationally to the Managers of Client Care Services in Springdale/Baie Verte and reports from a program perspective to the Regional Manager of Rehabilitative Services for Central Zone. The incumbent will also receive clinical supervision and professional practice oversight by the Physiotherapy Clinical Lead.
The Clinical Physiotherapist II will be working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. The clinical physiotherapist II is responsible for professional physiotherapy work in the promotion of health, prevention, and treatment of physically disabled, acute, and chronically ill patients. This position provides physiotherapy interventions in acute care, outpatients, long-term care, and community settings. Travel throughout the region may be required to support the delivery of physiotherapy services to other regional sites and long-term care facilities within Central Zone as needed. The successful candidate will be committed to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care and demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Required qualifications:
• Graduated from a School of Physiotherapy approved by Central Health.
• Current registration with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists.
• A minimum of 3 years (within the last 5 years) of Physiotherapy experience.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of development and program evaluation.
• Demonstrated research, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class V Driver's license.
• Use of a private vehicle.
• Consistent demonstration of NL Health's core values; Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence (ICARE).
• A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
