Title : Advisor, First Aid Program Learning Solutions

In this role you will :

  • Provide subject matter expertise and coordination to develop first aid education learning interventions whose learning design strategy incorporates our learning management system, emerging learning technologies, and classroom enhancement tools.
  • Oversee and ensure the scientific foundation of first aid education by evaluating current instructional strategies and classroom tools to optimize learning experiences for Program Advisors, Trainers, and learners.
  • Design and implement learning strategies for first aid education that maximize learner engagement and skill retention across various audiences and program areas.
  • Collaborate with the Canadian Council for First Aid Education and IFRC network members, Global First Aid Reference Centre, and Scientific Advisory Council to scan for market trends and emerging opportunities in learning technology.
  • Partner with Business Development and Training Partner Development teams to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities, focusing on advancements in instructional methods and classroom tools.
  • Coordinate and provide expertise in the evaluation and measurement of first aid education learning interventions.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous evaluation of first aid education interventions, leveraging instructional design principles to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Develop evaluation methods for first aid programs that consider social determinants of health, aiming to improve accessibility and relevance for diverse populations.
  • Oversee the development of strategies for measuring learning outcomes and program effectiveness across diverse learner groups, supporting scalable data analysis.
  • Provide support to the First Aid Program (including its programs, products, tools, communications, and processes).
  • Provide instructional design expertise to guide and enhance the first aid education portfolio, collaborating on program standards, operating procedures, delivery resources, and customer support tools to maximize outreach and impact.
  • Engage in strategic discussions to shape the long-term vision and direction of First Aid Education, focusing on learner-centered instructional approaches.

What we are looking for :

  • A university degree/diploma in Education, or related field with experience is leaning solutions.
  • 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in managing volunteer resources.
  • Knowledge of Prevention & Safety programs and standards.
  • Awareness of public health themes that Prevention & Safety learning interventions could support.
  • Familiarity with instructor-led, peer-led, and self-directed learning principles - applicable to virtual and in-person learning contexts.

Working Conditions :

  • Work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable in an office or virtual setting.
  • Some travel may be required for team meeting or instructional development activities.
