Job Description:

CUSTOMER

  • Will use processes and tools to validate and identify issues and variances pertaining to invoices, and facilitate invoice settlement to avoid additional costs
  • Monitor and report spend against the financial terms of a Business Arrangement
  • May be involved with monitoring, analysis and reporting on a Third Party's performance through the delivery of services against SLAs, SLOs, KPIs within assigned portfolio as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Act as a resource to the business segment or corporate function by providing relevant and meaningful information/data/guidance on procedures and/or issues related to invoices and SLAs

SHAREHOLDER

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures relating to TD Expense Policy
  • Trust & Verify vendor SLA's / Scorecards ensuring accuracy and adherence to what the vendor has contractually committed to
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
  • May provide a range of reporting and / or meaningful analysis at the functional level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations
  • Acquire and apply expertise in invoice validation/payment processes and SLA validation, while providing guidance, assistance and direction to others
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

  • Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Professional role with a focus on providing function within defined parameters
  • Requires sound conceptual knowledge of invoice processes, commercial terms of Third Party contracts and SLA agreements
  • No supervisory accountability but may provide informal guidance to others
  • Investigates and analyses invoice to look for savings, challenge inconsistencies within strict deadlines.
  • Executes on work with some complexity; generally requiring short to medium-term focus (weekly-monthly)
  • Accountable for own work and effective coordination of processes and information across related teams
  • Delivers on assigned initiatives with some direction from management
  • Reports to Manager role

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree and/or
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Accounting/finance background is an asset
  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP Ariba, ePay and Sharepoint an asset

  • Fundamental knowledge of related Vendor Management principles/practices/activities, policies and procedures, systems, products/services, product research, analysis & reporting
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
  • Ability to research, collect, organize, analyze complex or technical data and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Skill in using data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
