Responsabilités

What you will be doing…

Working in a team environment and reporting to the Manager of Student Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services, with an emphasis on providing superior customer service to students, staff and the public.
Working collaboratively with the other Administrative Assistant for Student Services, you will accurately and in a timely manner, prepare confirmation of enrollment letters, print transcripts, and maintain current and historical student files. A key part of this role will be to assist with enrollments and registrations related to campus courses and programs. You will respond to walk-in requests, phone calls, and electronic enquiries related to student files and programming and services at the College. You will provide support to special events such as Convocation, Orientation, Open House and Get Started. You will also be responsible for organizing campus tours and the campus Test Drive program, all while working collaboratively with campus and provincial teams reflecting NSCC's Student Affairs integrated service delivery model.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
  • Occupational experience that includes records management knowledge acquired in a post-secondary institution would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and are comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office 365, E-mail and PeopleSoft, or other records management system
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; and you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about potential uses of technology to improve customer service.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset
