Effective July 1, 2024, seven United Way organizations across the Maritimes have unified into a single entity known as United Way Maritimes. This new organization serves Central and Southwestern New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Mainland Nova Scotia. The United Way Maritimes team is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as the organizations continues to strengthen and advocate for the social impact sector, increase investment in local communities, and streamline operations with regional governance and strong financial oversight.
We're seeking a Data Coordinator to join them for a short-term contract as their organization is experiencing growth and evolution.
Responsibilities will include:
- Pull various campaign and revenue reports from database systems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Review data for errors and duplicates and correct.
- Complete data imports by reviewing documents, and inputting data.
- Support finance functions by collecting information, completing data entry, and processing payments.
- Manage and process payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Accurately input and update data across various platforms, maintaining a high level of detail and organization.
- Utilize various software tools and platforms efficiently to manage tasks, solve problems, and streamline processes.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, managing competing priorities, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Undergraduate or college level education is required.
- Strong proficiency and experience working in Excel.
- Experience with data entry and/or payables is ideal.
- Experience working in a nonprofit organization is a significant asset.
- You have a sharp eye for detail and ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.
- You can complete tasks efficiently without compromising quality.
- You can handle competing priorities and tight deadlines without losing focus or accuracy.
- You are comfortable with various tech tools and can quickly learn new systems as needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detailed oriented person who is looking to join an organization that makes a difference in the communities they serve. This position will be hybrid and requires 2-3 days a week in office in either Halifax or Fredericton.
