Manufacturing Process Engineer

The role of the Manufacturing Process Engineer is to establish, define and supervise process parameters to ensure the quality and quantity of products produced. These efforts are undertaken with the shared goals of safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Responsibilities:
This position requires the successful candidate to ensure production and quality progress performance in their area of responsibility. Job responsibilities include:
- taking part in quality planning for products, materials, processes and methods;
- establishing and implementing quality standards and ensuring compliance;
- analyzing quality results;
- defining and implementing corrective and preventative action plans for improvement,
- designing and carrying out tests to evaluate changes with raw materials, equipment, automation and/or overall process;
- participating in quality planning, including feasibility studies;
- participating in product start-ups and evolutions;
- participating in projects and teams to resolve quality issues;
- acting as a liaison between the quality and technical departments; and,
- supporting operations by monitoring production quality, performance; and, maintenance problems and participating in vital corrections.
Requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent;
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred; and,
- strong mechanical awareness and comfort working around mechanical equipment.
Competencies required:
- strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop digital tools;
- well-organized and able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously; and,
- proven teamwork, interpersonal, leadership and planning skills.
