Employment Status : Temporary Full-time (6 Months)

In this role, you will :

Responsibility 1: Data Management

  • Contribute to the development methodology and standards for strong data management practices related to duplicates, quality, and fraud.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested or required to contribute to data-driven decision making.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analysis i.e. invoice reconciliations, escalations, business reporting.

Responsibility 2: Data Monitoring

  • Lead the development and update of a monitoring plan to ensure consistent application of standards, programs, and processes.
  • Monitor EMIS and other systems for completeness, quality, and adherence to standards of information entered during operations.
  • Monitor the provision of financial assistance to identify issues or inconsistencies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the tracking of financial assistance in EMIS and coordinate the implementation of changes with relevant teams.

Responsibility 3 : Emergency Operations

  • Lead the identification and resolution of duplicate registrations.
  • Provide absence/leave coverage for the Coordinator, Data Management.
  • Identify and raise indicators of fraudulent activity as represented in the data.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and data quality issues working in collaboration with Systems, Operations, and Information Management.

Responsibility 4: Personnel Management

  • Participate in the recruitment of volunteers and/or temporary surge support.
  • Orient and train all new surge staff and volunteers on most common tasks required during their deployment (duplicates management, data cleaning, irregular file tagging).
  • Provide administrative support to surge support including scheduling and timesheets.

Responsibility 5 : Mass Actions

  • Conduct end to end process for the delivery of mass financial assistance for standard and targeted MFA programming.
  • Prepare and issue all mass communications and assessments.
  • Prepare and issue delivery of financial assistance for programs that are providing rolling assistance based on evacuations.

What we are looking for :

  • Completion of a university degree, with a minimum of 3-5 years related work experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
  • Experience in working with virtual and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks at once.
  • Ability to methodically approach and solve complex problems.
  • Intermediate to high Excel skills and data management practices.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, French is an asset.
  • Ability to lead a team during high volume response.
  • Previous experience working with CRC in a disaster response is an asset.

Working Conditions :

  • Might work long and/or irregular hours are required during disaster response.
  • Travel across Canada may be required.
