The Senior Manager, Retail Payments will be accountable for development of the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) roadmap, driving balance growth for the Canadian credit card portfolio and various payment initiatives as assigned. This includes the building of the strategic vision for Buy Now Pay Later, shaping customer journeys and technological innovations, and analyzing and interpreting data to make recommendations for creating new opportunities. In addition, this role will be responsible for various pricing and payment initiatives focused on lending rates, fees and service charges for credit cards along with assessing new payment opportunities.

Is This Role Right for You? In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development of the BNPL feature expansion roadmap, including determining the customer value proposition, managing the end-to-end customer journey, identifying levers for improving lending margins and managing the implementation of the feature roadmap.
  • Keep up to date on competitive insights for BNPL innovation and pricing changes in the market
  • Recommend BNPL expansion opportunities and pricing changes based on competitive, customer and profitability analysis
  • Identify and recommend new payments/products service enhancements working through business casing to eventual implementation
  • Lead pricing strategy for credit cards to optimize lending revenues, through pricing changes or pricing innovation to continuously evolve our pricing capabilities
  • Create strategies to drive credit card balance growth by optimizing our lending levers, new product feature developments or digital journey enhancements
  • Manage lending margins across a suite of credit card products, including continuously monitoring and refinement of lend margin reports and KPI's

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in Finance is an asset
  • 5-10 years of professional experience, payments and banking industry experience is an asset
  • Product, project management, strategy, consulting or experience operating a business is a definite asset
  • Experience and competency with building presentations, project plans and dashboards
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
