PRODUCTION MANAGER (15 month contract)

The Home Depot Canada is looking for a Production Manager to lead the strategy, production and delivery of the print, digital and social flyer as well as promotional signage program.

As part of a highly collaborative team, the Production Manager will be responsible for leading the strategy & end-to-end execution of their channels, including acting as the liaison between internal teams and external partners. Reporting to the Director, Customer Insights and Brand Marketing, this successful candidate is a creative, organized and results-driven individual who can easily pivot between competing priorities and always hit a deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Management

  • Lead channel strategies including (but not limited to) roadmaps on process and experience improvements
  • Work with internal partners to execute ongoing test and learn programs related to channel functionality (e.g. tools / templates) / attributes (e.g. flyer length) / strategy (e.g. distribution patterns)
  • Support the organization on all business initiatives; looking for efficiencies that help drive a productive team culture; and ensuring excellent internal client service
  • Liaise with US counterparts to ensure effective integration, knowledge sharing and use of resources

Project management

  • Manage production schedules for flyer and promotional signage, ensuring on-time delivery against strategic and creative direction
  • Lead the development process including creative, agency relationship and digital production with vendors
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative services to strategically plan, brief/engage agencies and approve content based on business objectives
  • Oversee the production process, printing & distribution for print flyer, handouts and signage

Budget Management

  • Manage to set production budgets while looking for optimization opportunities
  • Manage invoicing and POs with partners
  • Work with internal partners to execute ongoing test and learn programs (e.g. paid vs. organic coverage; amount of signage printed/shipped)

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Support, inspire, and motivate fellow colleagues, direct reports, and managers alike
  • Lead, coach and develop small direct team
  • Support and enable a culture of individual and team growth and development

Competencies:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; works well in ambiguity
  • Teamwork, strong customer service and an ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines

Skills:

  • Experience in marketing, advertising, production, project management, content creation
  • Strong creative communication skills, resourceful, organized and detail oriented
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with SAP, Job Assist (or other creative proofing software), and Jira
  • Experience working with data asset management systems (e.g. Aprimo)

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Reports to Director, Customer Insights and Brand Marketing
  • A small team reports into this role

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel (e.g. for video and photo shoots)

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended Sitting, Repetitive Tasks
  • Ability to participate in casting, wardrobe, and post-production reviews
  • Ability to be on-set with anticipated longer periods of standing as sometimes necessary

Hybrid Work:

  • Location Flex

Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office setting, computer work, camera on virtual meetings
  • Occasional on-site at commercial shoots or in-store
  • Must wear mandatory attire when required (ie. Steel toe boots, Apron)

Minimum Education:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant work experience

Minimum Leadership Experience:

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in marketing or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and access to a car considered an asset

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
