Western Health is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide Primary Care Clinical Coverage reporting to Primary Health Care in the Stephenville/Bay St. George Health Neighbourhood. The Nurse Practitioner is part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for Primary Health Care Services based on the needs of the population in the Stephenville/Bay St. George Health Neighbourhood. This can include the provision of services in a variety of settings and methods including in-person visits, virtual care, and visits in patients' homes including personal care homes.
Qualifications:Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and current Nurse Practitioner License are required. The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential. Experience working independently with limited supervision and a willingness to travel are also required. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective agreement.
In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, consideration may be given to applicants who do not currently possess a Nurse Practitioner License, but are enrolled in an approved Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (MN/NP) program. In this case, the successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate proof of registration/enrollment upon appointment and provide updates based on the progress of each semester of the program.
