Halifax Water is hiring for a Safety Auditor and Training Specialist. This regular opportunity in the Environment, Health and Safety Department and has full time hours.

As a Safety Auditor and Training Specialist, you will:
- Assist the Manager of Safety and Security in ensuring Halifax Water is meeting all legislative safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain and communicate awareness, knowledge, and preparedness to uphold Halifax Water's safety culture of prioritizing safety standards and practices.
To do this job, you need to:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Professional certifications in the area of occupational health and safety
- Five years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety background with related experience in JOHSC, training, conducting risk assessments and audits
- Have or be working towards obtaining the Certified Health & Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation or equivalent
- Have a valid NS driver's license
- Training and experience in Trenching, Excavation, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and Operating and/or instruction in the safe operation of heavy equipment.
