The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce is looking for a dedicated community leader, advocate, and connector to serve as Chief Executive Officer. This role will guide the Chamber in advancing its mission and supporting a thriving, engaged business environment in the Saint John Region.

Job Description:
As CEO, you will lead with vision and collaboration, advancing the Chamber's commitment to Celebrate Business, Champion Business Needs, and Strengthen Community across our region. Your role involves guiding strategic initiatives, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, and implementing innovative programs that meet the diverse needs of our members.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations with efficiency, acting as the organization's primary spokesperson at community events, fostering member engagement, and promoting economic vitality through targeted advocacy and relationship-building efforts.

Responsabilités

Core Responsibilities:

  • Celebrate Business and expand the Chamber's reputation by leading initiatives that recognize member achievements, boost regional pride, and showcase successes through impactful storytelling and events. Foster pride, unity, and visibility within the business community.
  • Champion Business Needs and advocate for members by providing resources that drive growth and operational support. Promote pro-business policies and investments at all government levels, building strong relationships with stakeholders to create a supportive regulatory environment for regional economic growth.
  • Strengthen Community and build an inclusive, vibrant business community through networking, collaboration, and engagement opportunities. Strengthen member connections and create a cohesive, supportive environment that enhances business success and unity.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the board of directors to ensure strategic objectives are met, maintaining momentum on key initiatives.
  • Oversee Chamber operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and effective management practices that support the organization's long-term sustainability.
  • Regularly report to the board on the Chamber's financial health, program impact, and overall performance metrics.
  • Act as the Chamber's lead spokesperson, representing our members and interests at community, business, and governmental events.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role in a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic leadership and delivering on organizational priorities.
  • Expertise in fostering community engagement and building trusted partnerships that support economic growth and development.
  • Approachable and effective communicator with strong networking skills, adept at cultivating meaningful stakeholder relationships.
  • Skilled in budget management and financial oversight to promote efficient and sustainable resource use.
  • Well-versed in local and regional economic trends, with a solid understanding of relevant government structures and regulations.
  • Experienced in managing public relations and media engagement to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to community-centered leadership.
