Job Description:

Department Overview

The Business Planning & Performance Management team within Wealth Advice Strategy & Solutions provides business and financial insights, strategic planning, and business management coordination across Wealth Advice Businesses. The team plays a key role in Wealth Advice strategy development and implementing pan-Wealth business initiatives through data insights and executive reporting.

The Role and Key Accountabilities
The Manager of Wealth Advice Business Strategy is a key position accountable for business strategy development, supporting Wealth Advice line of business endeavors, and informing on-going projects through a deep understanding of competitive trends and practices to sustain a competitive advantage.

Additionally, the role:

  • Develops components of the Wealth Advice long term strategic vision through thought leadership and effective analysis, that integrates into the broader Wealth Advice strategies

  • Supports the annual planning process ensuring alignment to the business' long-term strategy

  • Manages and executes analytical and strategic projects, from start to finish; includes design and scoping; aligning partner expectations; project management and updates, and timely delivery

  • Initiates competitive and analytical assessments to inform business direction, process, and opportunities with appropriate recommendations

  • Provides forward-thinking, fact-based insights related to potential changes and disruption

  • Establishes relationships and collaborates with stakeholders across Wealth Advice, taking into consideration competing priorities and organizational sensitivities

  • Represents the team both internally and across the organization


Job Requirements

  • CPA and/or CFA qualification would be an asset

  • 5+ years of business or strategy experience

  • Knowledge of wealth management industry would be an asset

  • Good understanding of the Bank's financial drivers and structure

  • Skills

  • Excellent analytical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Conceptual and strategic thinker

  • Ability to interact effectively with leaders across Wealth Advice

  • Tactical thinker and leader with respect to solution development and implementation

  • Ability to work with pace and manage multiple time-sensitive and competing priorities
