Oxford Food Group has an opportunities for an Ocean Freight Facilitator, located in Oxford, NS. The position reports to the Shipping & Receiving Department Head.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a weekly schedule for sales orders to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Collaborate closely with Ocean Brokers to secure booking numbers and select appropriate vessels for shipment.
- Review and update freight rates as provided by brokers on a monthly basis to maintain accurate pricing.
- Communicate effectively with departments and select customers to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Solve problems quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field would be considered an asset
- Previous experience would be considered an asset
- Strong computer literacy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Correctly divert waste to support Zero Waste initiatives
- React to green wastes (wasted energy and water, air leaks, product leaks etc.) by submitting work orders for immediate repair
