Position Overview:

The Storesperson provides logistic and material support to the Main Operating Base. The Storesperson will report to the IMP Aerospace and Defence location in Comox, BC.

What You Will Do:
  • Conducts Receiving, Issuing, Shipping and non-technical inspection of all material, ensuring it is safely stored.
  • Trained, Qualified and Authorised to conduct Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Carries out waste product disposal for POL and other items.
  • Conducts stocking taking and completes stocktaking evaluation.
  • Conduct local purchase.
  • Conduct sub contacting with approved vendors.
  • Ready pack up kits to support aircraft deployments.
  • Maintain Min – Max stock levels to support MOB operations.
  • Collects data and produces various reports.
  • Conducts inspection of tool crib(s), tool boxes, ordering and replacement of tools, and actions calibration requirements for MOB equipment.
  • Prepares material transaction vouchers and other logistics documentation.
  • Actions approved amendments to publications, filing, record keeping and detailed register entries are completed.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation for the electronic record keeping system (ERKS), as applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Fly as necessary in support of maintenance, ferry and deployed operations.
  • Deploy and work at other main operating bases and/or deploy in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties and ferry flights.
  • Work shift work, as required and/or assigned.
  • Provide on-job-training to other employees, including task supervision.
  • Attend training for trade and professional development and for qualification/certification purposes.
  • Remove all debris accumulated by tasks performed and maintain a clean, safe work area. Carry out foreign object debris (FOD) inspections.
  • Ensure hangar, shop, stores and office areas are clean and swept.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and directives established by the Company.
What You Will Bring:
  • Knowledge of material control and warehousing operations, Stores operations, shelf life, stock taking, shipping and receiving, HazMat, POL disposal, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Ability to use standard computer systems and specialized computer systems applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures, as it pertains to Stores.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of assigned duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Minimum education level of grade 12 or equivalent and related training and experience in material control warehousing.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in material control and warehousing operations is required.
