Title : Medical Equipment, Distribution Supervisor - Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP)

Employee Working Location : In-person (Victoria, BC)

Employment Status : Permanent Full-Time

Salary Band : $49,830 - $62,288 /year

In this role, you will :

  • Oversee equipment distribution operations including but not limited to inventory and parts management, equipment reprocessing, customer and the client service site equipment delivery process.
  • Provide expert technical advice to staff, volunteers, and health care professionals, pertaining to health equipment.
  • Monitor program delivery to ensure performance standards and quality control are maintained.
  • Ensure that all WHMIS Program requirements are adhered to for assigned sites.
  • Participate in equipment cleaning, disinfection, inspection, repair, database, delivery, and installation as needed to meet operational requirements.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and equipment standards.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and support all program technical staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with Partner Services on equipment-related issues including equipment inventory needs, repairs etc.
  • Ensure that HELP fleet vehicles are maintained according to National fleet maintenance policies.

What we are looking for :

  • Completion of a 2-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field, 3 years of job-related work experience, and 2 years' experience supervising employees and/or volunteers, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience working with a diverse population and an understanding of cultural issues.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Mechanical, maintenance, assembly or repair experience.
  • Ability to be self-directed and to manage multiple priorities.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Medical equipment repair experience is considered an asset.

Working Conditions :

  • Frequent travel around the region is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
