Graybar Canada has an exciting career opportunity available. We are currently seeking a Brand & Content Coordinator to join our Head Office, in Halifax, NS. This is an on-site position Monday to Friday.

Position Summary

This role supports the overall Graybar Canada brand, strategy, and execution of all marketing plans. The role is responsible for the development and some oversight of all brand elements, creative direction, content strategy support, and subsequent materials and other components as requested.

Be the loudest brand advocate and bring it to life through all avenues of communication by creating content, collaborating on strategy, policing brand standards, and finding innovative solutions to activate Graybar Canada amongst our audiences.

Requirements:

  • Oversee and design marketing promotions and sales incentives for Graybar Canada and vendors.
  • Lead creative direction and help develop strategy around creative elements.
  • Lead social media content calendar & strategy with Digital Marketing Coordinator & Marketing Communications Coordinator support.
  • Manage and prioritize branch and division requests for various marketing collateral.
  • Manage, coordinate, & support event requests from branches or divisions of Graybar Canada in conjunction with Executive Assistant & Corporate Events role.
  • Ensure brand standards are followed across all company events, activities, assets, infrastructure and more.
  • Maintain and update brand standards as required.
  • Support required deliverables pertaining to national Graybar Canada brand in line with Marketing Manager.
  • Coordinate video strategy & asset creation with Digital Marketing Coordinator.
  • Support go-to market strategy through customer research, including but not limited to, surveys and contests.
  • Document marketing processes to support a best practices marketing program.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications or Creative Design, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of marketing/design experience.
  • Design and creative development experience required.
  • Mastery of desktop publishing software and Adobe Suite required.
  • Relevant writing/editing/proofreading experience required.
  • Exceptional English language writing and grammar skills. French language skills considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated skills of social media applications & channels, and content development for social communities and/or groups is required.
  • Experience with PPC campaigns including via social media networks and Google Ads/Bing Ads considered an asset.
  • Understanding of the marketing and sales process between vendors, employees, and customers to create appropriate and persuasive marketing communications is an asset.
  • Strategic thinking, including the ability to quickly identify and understand issues and opportunities.
  • Must be a results-oriented, independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Some travel is required (>10%).
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations/webinars.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
