This position is:

Hybrid, at least 3 days per week in office

Our department is responsible for both Internal Audit and Security activities. Internal Audit: The performance and facilitation of audits and reporting on findings and recommendations to inform senior management and improve the company’s operations and compliance posture and reduce risk. Security: Provide assistance/information to third parties where legally obligated through regulations and court documents and mandated under licensing agreements. Perform investigations into damage claims to reduce costs/improve customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and prioritizes requests from third parties for information
  • First line of contact with external parties for requests
  • Ensures Eastlink has a legal obligation to provide information
  • Gathers, reviews and documents requested information for complete and accurate information and provides to third party by stated deadlines
  • Engages legal and privacy teams to ensure company is fulling its legal and regulatory obligations when fulfilling requests
  • Prepares and facilitates billing to recover costs for identified activities in providing information
  • Prepares and maintains process documentation for systems and processes for fulfilling information requests
  • Actions forms for Stolen Devices and maintains spreadsheet for annual reporting
  • Tracks damage claims, maintains evidence, and acts as first line of investigation reaching out to others in the organization
  • Acts as a backup for the administration of the system used for tracking and maintaining third party requests and develops and provides statistical reports on activities and volumes
  • Participating in other departmental projects as they arise

Requirements:

  • A condition of work is the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances up to Top Secret
  • Post secondary education in a related field.
  • Microsoft office expertise, skilled in Excel functionality
  • Prior experience in an analyst capacity, interpreting data requests, and providing appropriate information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, and deliver on projects in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated communications skills, internally and externally.
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships throughout the business
  • Willingness to pitch in and help the team as the need arises outside typical duties.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to follow established policies & procedures / critical thinker that can operate outside of documented procedures to identify and adjust for variations on normal procedures and documented requests.
  • Proven experience working in a confidential environment.
  • Proven experience learning how to use multiple systems.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business needs.

Additional qualifications that would be an asset:

  • Understanding of telecommunications services is considered an asset.
  • Existing security clearances are considered an asset.
  • Previous experience creating and maintaining process documentation considered an asset.
