Job Description:
TD Securities is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Supply Chain and Critical Data Elements (CDE) Analyst to join our CDO Data Governance team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the effective and efficient management of data supply chains, with a focus on identifying, governing, and ensuring the quality of critical data elements across the organization.
As a Data Supply Chain and CDE Analyst, you will work closely with business and technical teams to map and enhance data flows, develop robust data management practices, and ensure that critical data elements are accurately captured, processed, and available for decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting data governance, regulatory compliance, and reporting initiatives across the bank. Key Responsibilities:
• Data Supply Chain Management: Understand, map, and optimize the data supply chain across the organization, ensuring the smooth movement and transformation of data from source systems to end-users.
• Critical Data Elements (CDE) Identification & Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define critical data elements across business lines, ensuring they are accurately documented and maintained.
• Data Quality Management: Implement and maintain data quality controls for critical data elements, including establishing metrics, reporting, and remediation plans for any data quality issues.
• Data Lineage & Metadata Management: Maintain and enhance data lineage documentation, ensuring the end-to-end traceability of critical data elements from their origin to consumption.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data stewards, business analysts, IT, and other teams to ensure alignment on TD Securities and enterprise data governance policies and practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives by ensuring that data supply chain processes and CDEs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve data supply chain processes and the management of critical data elements, leveraging automation and data governance best practices.
• Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training on data governance processes related to the data supply chain and critical data elements to business and technical teams.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
• Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Hands-on experience managing data supply chains, including data sourcing, transformation, and delivery processes.
- Demonstrated experience with critical data element identification, governance, and management practices.
• Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience working with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica), data catalogs, and metadata repositories.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and SQL for querying large datasets.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration technologies.
• Business Knowledge: Understanding of financial products, services, and regulations affecting data management (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, or similar).
• Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
