Individual Accountabilities:

  • 6 month contract position
  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (overnight) 8pm - 6am
  • Lead and develop a high performing team, overseeing the day-to-day operations throughout a shift in the Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC).
  • Drives team engagement, development, and retention by connecting team to the Voila vision, encouraging innovation, clear communication, and continuous feedback.
  • Support and participates in the recruitment and retention of operational leaders and team members.
  • Provide guidance and feedback regarding performance management to facilitate continuous learning and development of team members.
  • Maintain a clean, collaborative, and safe work environment.
  • Partner with Training Specialist to provide inputs into training content, assessments, tracking and ensure quality and compliance.
  • Train teammates where applicable.
  • Embed and sustains operational protocols and Standard Operating Policies (SOPs)
  • Transfer best practices throughout the organization.
  • Oversee the absence management program.
  • Partner with Delivery Function to assess daily volumes and planning.
  • Partner with Customer Service to understand customer feedback and necessary action items and cascade to team.
  • Provide insight to team on importance of product handling and quality.
  • Establish a streamlined workflow between operations and delivery functions (day to day) and act as a primary partner within the e-commerce team.
  • Work with warehouse management system (WMS) technologies to optimize productivity.
  • Establish and maintain high personal involvement, accessibility, and visibility to Fulfillment centre team members.
  • Manage/assess issues related to equipment, staffing, and workflow.
  • Establish cross-functional relationships (Service Delivery, Customer Service, Inventory etc.) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to and implement all applicable Food Safety program requirements.
  • General Understanding and adherence of Food Safety Policies or relevant Standard Operating Procedures such as General Health and Hygiene, Allergen Policy, Temperature Checks, etc.
  • Any other duties as required.

Reporting to the assigned Shift Lead Operations, the Team Leads control and direct all selection, loading, forklift, and support staff to ensure the accurate selection of product to all stores and affiliates. Actively contribute to a positive, productive, and safe working environment.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

• Provide employees with instruction, information, supervision, and facilities to encourage ongoing safe work practices

• Maintain integrity of EXE productivity

• Maintain integrity of health and safety checklists and inspections

• Participate on the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee as required

• Work with Shift Leads and Managers to identify problems and work to make improvements

• Comply with all RSC audit expectations (OH&S, etc.)

• Contribute to the effectiveness of the RSC's health and safety program by promoting a safe work culture

• Monitor and review all reports and develop strategies for improving RSC productivity

• Prompt implementation of new and or revised RSC programs and standards

• Ensure all checklists are complete, current, and accurate

• Coach, counsel, and discipline as required

• Adhere and implement all applicable company safety standards

• Maintain sanitation standards

• Promote employee engagement, mission and purpose

• Performs special projects and other duties as required

What you have to offer:

• Minimum of two years experience in a retail support centre

• Certified to operate mobile equipment

• Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

• Post Secondary Diploma/Degree or Equivalent Work Experience

*Specific shift times and location will be discussed at the interview

Position Requirements:

  • 5 years of management experience in a distribution/warehouse setting
  • You need to be a proven manager, capable of dealing with all issues that arise from managing people.
  • You need to be able to demonstrate the ability to engage and enthuse a diverse team in a time-constrained environment.
  • Ideally have experience working in an automated warehouse or manual distribution center environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, with ability to deliver direction and motivation in an effective manner.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with other internal teams such as Human Resources, Engineering and Resource Planning
  • Strong IT skills are essential, and you must be comfortable using various software packages to interpret data
  • High level of integrity and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Able to work in ambient, chill and freezer environment.
