Job Title: District Manager, Operation (Nova Scotia) - Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Headquartered in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Keel Brands is a leading branded food service operator. Currently, Keel Brands manage eight Popeyes locations, along with two Tim Hortons and two Burger King locations across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. With ambitious expansion strategies, Keel Brands aims to substantially grow its presence by opening more than 15 Popeyes restaurants across Atlantic Canada over the next 3-5 years. Popeyes, recognized as the premier chicken quick-service brand in North America, boasts a global footprint with over 3,300 restaurants worldwide.

Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the District Manager assumes the responsibility of assembling an exceptional team dedicated to ongoing continuous improvement for restaurants within Nova Scotia. You will establish open communication channels with the restaurant managers to ensure excellence across the entire restaurant network. The District Manager is tasked with maintaining adherence to operational standards and financial metrics in a seamless and continuous manner.

You will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities, exuding high energy and a positive demeanor
  • Exhibit exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Foster the development and retention of high-performing managerial teams within a lively and positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Showcase a track record of successfully increasing sales and effectively overseeing multiple restaurant operations while upholding the values and culture of Popeyes with honesty and integrity
  • Conduct regular on-site evaluations alongside Restaurant Managers and Crew to ensure optimum customer satisfaction
  • Continuously monitor and enhance operational performance
  • Attend multiple restaurant openings as part of the expansion efforts for Popeyes throughout Atlantic Canada
  • Manage budgets and implement cost controls to enhance revenue and profitability.
  • Travel to various locations and work diverse hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate business requirements.

Your Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have gained experience in the food industry, managing multiple restaurant locations. Experience with a branded concept would be an asset. Your ability to work independently with minimal supervision and seamlessly collaborate within a team, adapting your approach as needed, sets you apart. Proficient in remote management, you excel in overseeing multiple locations concurrently, maintaining accountability for meeting specified targets and performance metrics. To ensure effective operational management, proficiency in Excel, typical restaurant software, and an openness to new technologies is required.
