Job Summary
This management support position, reporting to the Senior Site Manager, is responsible for co coordinating the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the Clarenville staffing office. The Clerk IV prepares master schedule templates and develops master rotations and schedules (including summer and Christmas schedules) in accordance with Collective agreements and other guidelines. The Clerk IV assists management personnel by scheduling employees when education/training needs, orientation needs, and staff replacement needs are identified. They are responsible to train new staffing officers and others who are involved in staff recall, and to maintain data on positions and staff movements within positions. This position also completes accurate bi-weekly payroll data entry for all nursing units and some support services departments. Scheduled after-hours standby is required.

Regularly lifts objects weighing less than 5 lbs and occasionally up to 10 lbs.
Work provides the opportunity to stand and walk within the office environment.
Constantly required to use fine/finger precision work while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database files.
Regularly requires bilateral repetitive fine motor skills (i.e. typing and mousing) while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database files.

Job Qualifications

Education
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program (HR concentration preferred).
Consideration will also be given to candidates having a two-year office administration program and considerable progressive experience.
Experience with collective agreement administration and staff scheduling is required.
Courses and proficiency in database management, word processing and other computer applications including Meditech is required.

Experience
A minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.
Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and be a critical thinker.
Ability to handle multiple projects, under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines.

Other
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
Supervisory experience will be considered an asset.

*Proof of a current office administration/business management program is required. To be considered current, the program must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.
